"At the end of the day, it's not just about which team can do the work, but which team the client wants to work with. And that's about much more than your technical approach."
Founded in 2006 by Michael Iannelli, MJI Communications Group has been helping clients win new business through effective communication strategies. During Michael’s nearly 30 years in business, he has developed concepts and strategies that have resulted in significant wins – wins that have increased his clients' bottom line. Since the early 90’s, Michael has consistently been involved in his firm’s most strategic pursuits as both a strategist, proposal developer and coach. Through his experience, Michael believes that only a well-developed and articulated strategy wins. Some of the key strategic wins Michael has been involved in over the years include:
Ø I-15 Express Lanes Construction Management at Risk, CA
Ø Ohio River Bridges East End P3 Program Management, KY
Ø Mill Creek Water Tunnel, Dallas, TX
Ø East Side Access, NYC
Ø Seattle Streetcar Environmental and Preliminary Design, WA
Ø WAVE Streetcar Design, FL
Ø Downtown/Midtown Tunnel/ Martin Luther King Extension Program Management, VA
Ø General Engineering Consultancy (GEC) Services Contract, Doha, Qatar
Ø Elsinore Valley MWD - WWTP Upgrade and Expansion Project, CA
Ø MARTA Electrification, GA
Through this successful experience Michael understands that it isn’t the best strategies that win projects—it’s the best communicated strategies! With that concept in mind, Michael works to help teams effectively communicate complex concepts in such a way that the client, oftentimes a non-technical person, understands the solution and its advantages to the project, and ultimately wants to work with our team. Combining these crucial elements, honed over the years through practical experience, forms the basis of MJI Communications Group’s training modules and coaching philosophy.
From his base in New Jersey, Michael has worked on projects throughout North America, Europe and the Middle East, understanding differing cultures and how those cultures impact what we say and how we say it. He has developed training modules focusing on how to develop winning strategies, incorporate those strategies into proposals and presentations and how to deliver those strategies most effectively.
